A musician witnesses the murder of a famous psychic, and then teams up with a feisty reporter to find the killer while evading attempts on their lives by the unseen killer bent on keeping a dark secret buried.

This is the commonly released full-frame edited American cut of DEEP RED entitled THE HATCHET MURDERS. Interestingly, the movie was released in Japan as SUSPIRIA 2, with minimal to no attempt to package it as such - besides the title, although being made before SUSPIRIA.

To that end, for historical and archival purposes we present the movie as is, but with newly commissioned artwork by artist Martin Trafford to give the titling proper treatment.
